Constable Martyred in Kacha Encounter

Hyedrabad: A police constable embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire with bandits in Kacha, while two people lost their lives and one was injured in separate motorcycle accidents in Attock on Saturday.

In Hyderabad, the funeral prayers of Police Constable Muhammad Muqeem Khoso, who was martyred in an encounter with dacoits, were held with full state honors in his ancestral village. A special contingent of Jacobabad Police presented a salute to the brave officer.

A large number of senior police officials, including Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Larkana Nasir Aftab, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sadam Hussain Jacobabad, along with Rangers personnel, civil society members, and local residents, attended the funeral to pay their respects. On behalf of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, flowers were laid on the martyr’s body.

Constable Khoso, who joined Sindh Police in 2009, served with dedication at various locations. He sustained injuries during an encounter in Thul’s B Section Police Station limits the previous day and was shifted to the hospital for treatment but succumbed to his wounds.

DIG Larkana stated that Sindh Police stands united like an iron wall for peace and security, emphasizing that the sacrifices of officers will never be forgotten.

Two Killed, One Injured in Attock Accidents

In Attock, two people were killed and one injured in separate motorcycle accidents.

The first incident occurred on GT Road near Manonagar, Hassanabdal, where Muhammad Arshad, a resident of Hazro, was killed on the spot after a car collided with his motorcycle. His wife, Zahida Perveen, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. The car driver fled the scene.

In a separate accident in Dhoke Rehan, Pindigheb, 17-year-old Ammar lost his life in a head-on collision between his motorcycle and a motorcycle rickshaw. Reckless driving by the rickshaw driver was cited as the cause of the fatal crash. Local police have registered cases for both incidents and launched investigations.
