Robbers Steal Electric Equipment at Gunpoint

Faisalabad: Four armed men looted electric wires and a transformer at gunpoint from a disposal station on Daewoo Road on Thursday night.

According to a complaint filed at Ghulam Muhammad Abad police station by station operator Sheikh Ghazanfar, the armed men stormed the facility, locked security guards Saqib and Ali Raza in a room, and proceeded to cut and steal electrical wires.

The stolen items included 800 feet of 300-MM wire, 500 feet of 180-MM wire, 150 feet of 500-MM earth cable, and 150 feet of 35-MM wire.

Additionally, the robbers took a laptop, a pump controller, and the guards’ mobile phones before fleeing the scene.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the theft has severely impacted sewerage systems in several areas, including Chibban Road, the general bus stand, Shadman, Akbar Abad, Gulistan Colony, and GOR-II, causing blockages and disruptions
