Pakistan PM Pays Homage to Azerbaijani Martyrs

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday visited the Victory Monument in Baku, Azerbaijan, to pay tribute to the martyrs and heroes of the Nagorno-Karabakh war during his two-day official visit.

Accompanied by his delegation, the prime minister laid a floral wreath at the monument in honor of those who fought for Azerbaijan’s territorial liberation.

The Victory Park, built to commemorate the valor and sacrifices of Azerba#ijani forces and people during the 44-day war, features the Victory Arch, the Victory Monument, and an expansive park. The Victory Arch, standing 44 meters tall with 44 columns, symbolizes the duration of the war.
