The intense encounter saw Insa Ali Shah outplay Japan’s Renzi Makenyo, while Abdullah Nawaz delivered a dominant 3-0 win against Shinsaku Kiri, sealing Pakistan’s spot in the next stage. With this impressive performance, Pakistan is now one step closer to clinching the championship title, raising hopes for a strong finish in the tournament.

The 22nd Asian Junior Squash Team Championships, organized by the Asian Squash Federation, are being held in Hong Kong, China, from February 12 to 16, 2025. The event brings together top junior teams from across Asia, with fierce competition in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
The boys’ event features teams from Hong Kong China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, while the girls’ event includes Hong Kong China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan has been in stellar form, having earlier secured a quarterfinal spot with a commanding 3-0 win over Macau, China. One of the standout performances came from Abdullah Nawaz, who swiftly defeated Ka Hei in just 16 minutes, showcasing his dominance on the court.
