Buenos Aires: Dozens of residents were evacuated on Tuesday after a fire erupted on the 11th floor of a 50-story residential building in Buenos Aires. Emergency services confirmed that while no lives were lost, about 40 people required treatment for smoke inhalation, and three were hospitalized.

Rescue official Alberto Crescenti reported that multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene, where firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.

“All residents are out of danger,” firefighter Christian Benitez told AFP.

Eyewitnesses described the chaotic moments following the alarm. “I heard the fire alarm and rushed downstairs as quickly as I could,” said 30-year-old resident Ornella Gril, who gathered outside with other evacuees, firefighters, and journalists.

Another resident, Veronica Mozien, revealed that this was the third fire in the complex within the past six months.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
