Rupee Appreciates by 5 Paisa Against US Dollar

Islamabad:  The Pakistani rupee gained 5 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Tuesday, closing at Rs 279.16 compared to the previous day’s Rs 279.21.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 279.75 and Rs 281.25, respectively.

Other currency movements in interbank trading:

Euro: Down by 31 paisa, closing at Rs 287.66

British Pound: Declined by Rs 1.91 to Rs 344.50

Japanese Yen: Unchanged at Rs 1.83

Emirates Dirham: Dropped by 2 paisa to Rs 76.00

Saudi Riyal: Decreased by 1 paisa to Rs 74.44
