Three Fishermen Killed, One Missing in Gwadar Boat Fire

Islamabad: Three fishermen lost their lives and another is missing after a fire broke out on their boat off the Gwadar coast, a private news channel reported on Thursday.

The tragic incident occurred near the Peshakan area when the blaze engulfed a fishing boat carrying 20 people. As the fire spread, the crew members jumped into the sea to escape.

Sixteen fishermen were rescued by coastal forces and other nearby fishing boats, while three drowned, and one remains unaccounted for. Search efforts are ongoing for the missing individual.

Of the three who died, two were from Peshakan, and one hailed from Karachi. Police officials confirmed that the bodies of the deceased have been transported to Peshakan.
