Why Is PIA Offering a 10% Discount on Canada-Pakistan Flights?

Islamabad: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 10 percent discount on tickets for flights from Canada to Pakistan, offering passengers a cost-effective travel option.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the discounted fares are available for immediate booking and will remain valid until February 9, 2025.

Passengers can travel under this promotion from February 9 to May 20, 2025, with the offer applying to all PIA flights operating between Canada and Pakistan during this period.

This initiative comes as PIA continues to expand its international operations, having successfully restored multiple global routes over the past six months.

Restoring Key Routes

PIA has reopened several international routes after nearly four years, following extensive aircraft repairs and operational improvements. Between August 2024 and January 2025, the airline increased flights to Europe, the Gulf region, and Saudi Arabia, focusing on connectivity from smaller Pakistani airports.

The newly restored routes include:

August 2024: Direct flights from Quetta to Jeddah, Faisalabad to Jeddah, and Faisalabad to Madinah.

January 2025: Reopening of Islamabad to Paris, launch of Turbat to Sharjah and Turbat to Al Ain, resumption of Gwadar to Muscat, and restoration of Lahore to Kuwait operations.

According to PIA officials, European routes were previously suspended due to EU restrictions, while other routes were halted due to aircraft shortages.

With repairs completed on ATR and Airbus aircraft, PIA has successfully revived several international connections, enhancing its global presence.
