Islamabad: Scooties have become an increasingly popular mode of transportation for women in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, offering a convenient, affordable, and empowering way to commute to work.
With growing financial independence, rising living costs, and inflation, more women are turning to scooties as a reliable and cost-effective means of transportation. Today, it is common to see working women and students zipping around on two-wheelers, effortlessly navigating their daily routines.
Sania, who confidently rides her scooty from her home in Rawalpindi Saddar to her workplace in Islamabad, shared, “My scooty is perfect for commuting to work. It’s so convenient and saves me a lot of time and money. It also makes me feel empowered and strong. I love the sense of freedom it gives me!”
Aneeta, a housewife, highlighted the practicality of scooties for household tasks, saying, “I use my scooty to take my kids to school and pick up groceries. As the breadwinner of my family, I cannot afford a car, so my scooty is a more affordable and accessible option for me.”
Another commuter, Sara Jahangir, expressed her relief at having a dependable mode of transport. “Mornings can be chaotic, and relying on public transportation is a hassle. But with my scooty, it’s a game-changer. It’s reliable, convenient, and gets me where I need to go quickly and stress-free.”
She also noted the financial benefits, stating that scooties require less maintenance than cars, making them a cost-effective choice.
Scooties provide women with the freedom to travel wherever and whenever they want, eliminating dependence on public transportation or others, while empowering them to take control of their daily commutes.
