Los Angeles Wildfires Displace Celebrities, Destroy Homes

Islamabad: Tens of thousands of people, including world-renowned actors, musicians, and other celebrities, were affected by devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The city, known as the heart of the entertainment industry, was under siege from multiple blazes, as powerful winds fueled the fires, threatening homes and events. Several high-profile Hollywood gatherings, such as Pamela Anderson’s film premiere, were canceled as firefighters battled the flames.
The fires have caused significant destruction, with reports confirming that dozens of homes in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood, home to many celebrities, were lost. Another fire ravaged parts of Altadena to the east.
Actress and singer Mandy Moore, known for her role in This Is Us, shared on Instagram that she had evacuated with her children and pets from the Altadena fire’s path. “Praying for everyone in our beautiful city,” she wrote, expressing her distress and uncertainty about the fate of her home.
Emmy-winning actor James Woods posted a video on social media showing flames threatening his Pacific Palisades residence. “It feels like losing a loved one,” he said, as he prepared to leave.
Meanwhile, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill shared his evacuation experience from his Malibu home, noting the fires on both sides of the road as he drove toward the Pacific Coast Highway.
In response to the fires, several major Hollywood events were canceled. Pamela Anderson’s premiere for The Last Showgirl and Paramount’s screening of the Robbie Williams film Better Man were both scrapped, along with Netflix’s press conference for Emilia Perez and the live unveiling of this year’s Screen Actors Guild nominations.
The Universal Studios theme park also shut down for the day due to the extreme fire conditions.
Actor Steve Guttenberg, known for Police Academy and Cocoon, helped evacuate people from Pacific Palisades, expressing frustration at abandoned vehicles blocking the roads.
He urged people to leave their car keys behind to allow fire trucks easier access. Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy was also caught in the traffic chaos during his own evacuation.
Reality TV personalities Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, stars of The Hills, revealed they lost their home to the fire, with Pratt sharing that he watched the destruction unfold via security cameras.
