ICT Police Crack 21 Blind Murders in 11 Months

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) resolved 99 murder cases, including 21 blind murders, and apprehended 229 suspects over the past 11 months.
According to a police spokesperson, HIU teams completed investigations and submitted challans for all 99 cases to the relevant courts.
DIG Syed Ali Raza assigned special tasks to the HIU, emphasizing the need to resolve murder cases promptly and ensure justice for victims’ families. “It is our duty to arrest the perpetrators of such heinous crimes and provide justice to the bereaved,” he stated.
He directed HIU teams to prioritize the investigation of murder cases and take swift action against culprits. Additionally, all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) were instructed to enhance their professional capabilities, effectively combat crime, and safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
