YouTube Expands AI Auto-Dubbing Feature
News Desk
Islamabad: YouTube is reportedly enhancing its AI-powered auto-dubbing feature, specifically targeting knowledge and information-based content.
This improvement will help creators reach a larger audience by removing language barriers. The platform uses Google’s proprietary AI technology, Aloud, to automatically dub videos in various languages. Here are key details about the new feature:
Availability of YouTube’s Auto-Dubbing Feature
The updated feature is available to thousands of YouTubers who create educational or informative content and are part of the YouTube Partner Program. English-language videos will be automatically dubbed into French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Additionally, videos in these languages will also have English dubbing options. Viewers will be able to choose the original audio track by selecting the auto-dubbed label in the track selector.
Using the Feature
Creators do not need to take any extra steps to use this feature. YouTube will automatically detect the language of the video and translate it into one of the supported languages when uploaded.
Creators can view the dubbed versions in the Languages section of YouTube Studio, and they can also choose to remove any dubbing they find unsatisfactory.
While the feature is still new, YouTube acknowledges that the translations may sometimes not match the original speaker’s tone or fail to meet expectations for dubbed content. The platform encourages users to provide feedback to help improve the feature.
