Ingredients for Chicken Marination:
- 1 kg Chicken fillets
- 1/4 cup Hot sauce
- 1 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Red chili powder
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Ginger powder
Ingredients for Batter:
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Corn flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Orange food color
- 1 cup Water
Ingredients for Chicken Nuggets:
- Chicken fillets (marinated)
- Bread crumbs (as required)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken fillets with hot sauce, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, red chili powder, vinegar, and ginger powder. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
- Tenderize & Freeze: Transfer the coated chicken fillets to a zip-lock bag. Using a mallet, gently hammer the chicken until it is flattened. Freeze the chicken overnight to achieve the desired texture.
- Prepare the Batter: In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, corn flour, eggs, orange food color, and water. Stir well until the batter is smooth and well-combined.
- Cut & Coat the Chicken: After removing the chicken from the freezer, cut it into bite-sized cubes. Dip each chicken cube into the prepared batter, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Then, roll each piece in bread crumbs to achieve a crisp coating.
- Fry the Nuggets: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan. Carefully fry the coated chicken nuggets until they turn light golden brown and are cooked through.
