WhatsApp Adds Feature to Personalize Forwarded Messages
News Desk
Islamabad: WhatsApp is set to introduce a new feature in its upcoming update that will allow users to add a personalized message when forwarding content, enhancing the app’s functionality and versatility.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature is expected to be available in a future update and is currently being tested by beta users on WhatsApp’s latest Android version (2.24.25.3), available on the Google Play Store.
Previously, users could only forward media files such as images, videos, and GIFs without the ability to add any additional comments. With the new update, users will now be able to attach a new message to any forwarded content, including text messages, documents, and links.
This enhancement will allow users to provide more context, explanations, or comments alongside the content they forward, improving communication.
For example, when forwarding a news article link, users can now add their own thoughts or a summary, reducing the need for separate follow-up messages. Similarly, when sharing text messages, users can include further instructions or details, helping to avoid confusion and ensuring clearer communication within group chat.
This feature is particularly useful when users need to clarify or personalize forwarded messages, making it easier to share information with the added context.
