Record Drone Barrage Hits Ukraine Amid Rising Missile Tensions

Kyiv: In an unprecedented escalation, Russia launched 188 drones targeting Ukraine overnight, marking the highest recorded drone assault in the conflict.

Ukrainian officials confirmed the attack as international tensions soared over missile launches in the region.

The Kremlin on Tuesday refrained from commenting on recent Ukrainian strikes using US-supplied long-range ATACMS but attributed the escalation to Washington’s involvement.

In response to recent missile exchanges, including Ukraine’s firing of US-sourced missiles and Russia’s deployment of an experimental hypersonic missile, ambassadors from NATO’s 32 members and Ukraine convened in Brussels to address the ongoing conflict.

The missile tensions intensified following Russia’s intermediate-range missile strike on Dnipro last week, underscoring the growing hostilities in the region.
