Rangers Targeted on Srinagar Highway, 4 Martyred, 5 Hurt

Islamabad: At least four Rangers personnel were martyred and several others, including police officers, sustained serious injuries when a vehicle driven by miscreants rammed into them early Tuesday morning on Srinagar Highway.

According to security sources, the attack was linked to PTI miscreants, with a total of four Rangers personnel and two police officers confirmed dead so far. Over 100 police officers have also been injured, many of them severely.

In response to the escalating violence, the government has invoked Article 245 of the Constitution, deploying the Army to restore order. The authorities have also issued shoot-at-sight orders to deal with the miscreants, with all necessary measures being taken to counter any acts of terrorism and maintain security.
