Islamabad: A warm cup of kehwa isn’t just a comforting treat but also a natural remedy for battling seasonal coughs and colds. Packed with immunity-boosting ingredients, this traditional beverage offers a simple, kitchen-friendly way to ease discomfort while warming you up during chilly days.

Ingredients for Healing Kehwa:

  • Water: 4-5 cups

  • Lemon grass: ¼ cup

  • Fennel seeds: 1 tbsp

  • Cloves: 2-3

  • Cinnamon stick: 1

  • Green cardamom: 3-4

  • Ginger pods: 3-4

  • Mint leaves: ¼ cup

  • Honey: 2-3 tbsp

Preparation:

In a pot, bring water to a boil and add lemongrass, fennel seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick, green cardamom, ginger pods, and mint leaves. Let the mixture simmer for 7-8 minutes.

Stir in honey and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the flame, cover the pot, and allow it to steep for 5-10 minutes.

Strain and serve warm.
