DPO Mansehra Takes Swift Action Over TikTok Video From Police Lockup

Mansehra: District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra, Shafiullah Gandapur, has taken strict action following the circulation of a TikTok video filmed inside the lockup of Lassan Nawab Police Station.

The video, uploaded by two locals, Hassan Irshad (son of Muhammad Irshad) and Saad (son of Abdul Hamid), showed the individuals recording themselves inside the police lockup. The footage quickly went viral on social media, prompting public concern.

Upon learning about the incident, DPO Shafiullah Gandapur ordered the immediate arrest of the two individuals. Both Hassan and Saad have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings are underway against them.

In addition to addressing the actions of the accused, the DPO held police personnel accountable for negligence. Head Muharrir, Assistant Muharrir, and the constable on sentry duty were suspended for failing to prevent the breach of protocol.

Furthermore, a show-cause notice has been issued to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Lassan Nawab Police Station for oversight in this matter.

The DPO reiterated the commitment of the Mansehra police to maintain professionalism and accountability, ensuring such incidents are not repeated.
