Dengue Cases Decline in ICT, Health Authorities Report 3,689 Cases

Islamabad: A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, assessed the ongoing dengue situation in the Federal Capital on Thursday.
The meeting was informed that while the dengue cases have shown signs of declining, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration continues its efforts to prevent further spread of the virus.
According to the latest data presented by the Health department, Islamabad has recorded 3,689 dengue cases this season.
In the past week, 173 new cases were reported, with 31 of them registered in the last 24 hours. Health officials highlighted a notable decline in cases this November compared to October, offering hope that the situation is improving.
Gender Breakdown
Of the reported cases, the majority of affected patients are men, comprising 66 percent of the total cases, while women account for 34 percent.
Despite the decrease in cases, the ICT administration is continuing its aggressive anti-dengue measures.
Daily fumigation efforts are being carried out across Islamabad, and ongoing anti-dengue operations have led to the identification of larvae at 320 locations.
As a precautionary measure, authorities have arrested several individuals and sealed off affected areas to prevent further outbreaks.
Health officials have reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining control over the dengue situation. With continued vigilance and preventative measures, the authorities aim to keep the virus in check and prevent further spread in the region.
