Rupee Depreciates by 13 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 13 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs 277.86 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 277.73. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying rate stood at Rs 277.40, while its selling rate was Rs 278.90 in the open market.
Meanwhile, the Euro saw a decrease of Rs 1.87, closing at Rs 297.07, down from Rs 298.94. The Japanese yen also dropped by 02 paisa to Rs 1.80, while the British Pound shed Rs 1.28, closing at Rs 358.26 from the previous day’s Rs 359.54.
However, the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal gained 03 and 04 paisa, respectively, closing at Rs 75.64 and Rs 73.97.
