Peshawar: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) announced the establishment of a KP Pavilion at Islamabad’s Lok Mela to celebrate the province’s rich cultural and tourism assets.
Advisor to the Chief Minister on Culture and Tourism, Zahid Chanzeb, emphasized that the pavilion will showcase KP’s diverse culture and aim for an award-winning display, following last year’s success.
In a meeting chaired by Chanzeb at the KPCTA Conference Room, it was confirmed that the festival, scheduled for November 8-17, will feature artisans from KP’s districts, offering them an opportunity to exhibit and sell traditional crafts.
The pavilion will highlight authentic cultural performances, including rabab music and Kalash and Khattak dances, set to captivate visitors.
KPCTA Director General Tashfeen Haider announced that over 25 stalls will feature local handicrafts and cultural displays, complemented by videos and documentaries on KP’s tourist attractions and cuisine.
An information desk will assist tourists, and a musical gathering on November 13 will showcase performances by regional artists. “This participation aims to promote a positive image of KP’s heritage and bolster support for its artisans and performers,” Haider stated.
