Rawalpindi: The water supply from the Sangjani Pumping Station has been restored following extensive repair work, bringing relief to residents of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) areas who had faced water shortages in recent days.
Cause of Disruption: The interruption was attributed to an electrical circuit breakdown that damaged essential equipment, halting water pumping operations at one of the primary water supply stations for the RCB areas. Repair teams were deployed, working continuously over several days to address the malfunction.
Efforts by RCB Officials: RCB Chief Executive Officer Syed Ali Irfan Rizvi instructed engineering teams to expedite the restoration process. According to an RCB spokesperson, engineering staff worked round-the-clock to complete the repairs and ensure a steady water supply for affected neighborhoods.
Water Supply Resumed: With the repairs now complete, full water supply has resumed, and RCB authorities assured residents that services would be maintained to meet their needs.
