CDA to Develop Bicycle Tracks on Margalla Road, F-6

Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, announced on Wednesday that eco-friendly cycling tracks will be developed on Margalla Road, F-6, and in Sector G-6 as part of Phase I of the Islamabad Bicycle Lane Project.
During a meeting focused on the project, Randhawa stated that its implementation will occur in phases. He noted that activity zones and charging stations for electric bikes will be integrated within the bicycle track project.
A key objective of this initiative is to enhance the city’s beauty while providing citizens with an alternative mode of transportation.
Randhawa emphasized the CDA’s commitment to promoting a multi-modal transport system in Islamabad, assuring that safety measures will be prioritized throughout the project.
He remarked that this initiative will play a significant role in making Islamabad’s transport system more environmentally friendly.
The meeting was attended by senior officers from the relevant departments.
