Beirut: Lebanese state media reported that three journalists were killed in separate Israeli air strikes in eastern Lebanon, and buildings were destroyed in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
“Our correspondent in Zahle reported the death of three journalists in an Israeli raid on Hasbaya,” the official National News Agency (NNA) stated. The Israeli military strike occurred at 3:30 am (0030 GMT) near the Syrian border.
Local media reported the raid hit a hotel in Hasbaya, around 50 kilometers south of Beirut.
Separately, in Beirut’s southern Choueifat Al-Amrousieh area, Israeli warplanes destroyed two buildings, igniting a large fire and covering the area in black smoke. According to the NNA, the strike in the Saint Therese area caused the collapse of two nearby buildings.
