Balochistan Boxer Wasim Receives Heroic Welcome

Quetta: Balochistan’s star boxer, Mohammad Wasim, was welcomed home to a hero’s reception at Quetta Airport after his recent victory over Georgia’s Jaba in a ranking fight held in Malta on October 4.

Balochistan Sports Advisor Meena Majeed, along with Secretary Sports Tariq Qamar and DG Sport Yasir Khan Bazai, were present to greet the international athlete.

Meena Majeed praised Wasim’s achievement, noting that he has once again brought Pakistan into the global spotlight.

Wasim expressed his gratitude to the Balochistan government and the people for their warm reception. “With the continued support of the government and the nation, I aim to bring a world title to Pakistan,” he vowed.

This triumph follows in the footsteps of Shahzaib Rind, another notable athlete from Balochistan, and highlights the abundant talent in the province.
