KP Sells Markhor Trophy Hunting Permits for Rs250M

Peshawar: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department has sold four Markhor trophy hunting permits for Rs250 million.
The highest bid of Rs150 million was for hunting in Toshi-1 and Toshi-2, while permits in Kohistan and Chitral fetched Rs53.7 million and Rs52.8 million, respectively.
Eighty percent of the revenue will be distributed among local communities, with funds also supporting wildlife conservation and development projects in the region.
