Rupee Gains 16 Paisa Against Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 16 paisa against the US dollar on Friday, closing at Rs277.63 in interbank trading, compared to the previous day’s Rs277.79.
In the open market, the buying and selling rates stood at Rs278.25 and Rs279.75, respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan.
The euro rose by 25 paisa, closing at Rs303.94, while the British pound fell by 17 paisa to Rs363.05.
The Japanese yen remained unchanged at Rs1.86, and slight decreases were observed in the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal, which closed at Rs75.58 and Rs73.93, respectively.
