Urs of Shah Jamal to Begin Today

Lahore: The 397th annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Syed Shah Jamal will commence at his Astana in Lahore on Monday.

Secretary Auqaf Punjab, Dr Tahir Raza Bokhari, will inaugurate the celebrations by laying a traditional chadar on the saint’s grave after Asr prayers.

The event will be attended by officials from the Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department, along with a large number of devotees. Local police have arranged foolproof security for the visitors.
