Section 144 and Peaceful Assembly Act Enforced in Islamabad

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) authorities have enforced Section 144 and the Peaceful Assembly Act across the capital, prohibiting gatherings and processions in restricted areas as part of heightened security measures.

According to a statement from the police, the high-security zone, red zone, and surrounding areas have been designated as restricted, with the law being strictly enforced to maintain order. The ICT Police emphasized their continuous efforts to protect the lives and property of citizens.

Officials warned that anyone involved in illegal activities will be held accountable.

Citizens are urged to refrain from participating in any unlawful gatherings, and strict legal action will be taken against those who attempt to disrupt peace and order.

The police also advised travelers to observe traffic advisories regarding road closures and detours. Citizens can stay updated on the latest traffic conditions through Islamabad Police FM 92.4 and Pukar 15.

In case of emergencies, residents are encouraged to dial 15 for immediate assistance.
