Chinese Delegation Visits Takht Bhai Archaeological Site

Mardan: An 18-member Chinese delegation visited the renowned Takht Bhai archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on Wednesday.
Under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Zahoor Babar Afridi, DSP Takhtbhai Circle Shakeel Khan welcomed the delegation and guided them through various locations, ensuring foolproof security arrangements.
During the visit, Shakeel Khan highlighted the site’s historical and cultural significance, noting that it attracts numerous domestic and international tourists each year.
The Chinese delegation expressed appreciation for the security measures implemented by the Mardan Police and conveyed their satisfaction with the arrangements.
Officials from the Directorate of Archaeology provided a comprehensive briefing on the site’s historical importance, emphasizing that the Takht Bhai ruins are now recognized as one of the most well-structured Buddhist monasteries in the world.
The delegation showed a keen interest in the historical sites and described Pakistan as a beautiful and peaceful country. While touring the site, they praised the security protocols and noted that they felt completely safe and comfortable in the pleasant environment.
