Minister Inspects Healthcare Facilities at HFH

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, visited the Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi to assess the healthcare services and engage with hospital management on initiatives aimed at improving support for minority communities.

During his visit, the minister issued several key directives to enhance the quality of care, particularly for children from underprivileged backgrounds and minority groups.

He stressed the urgent need for better healthcare and nutrition, instructing the hospital administration to ensure that every child admitted receives adequate dietary support, including essential nutrition like milk, to combat malnutrition and promote overall health.

Emphasizing healthcare as a fundamental right, Arora directed the hospital to provide free medication to children and minority patients who are unable to afford treatment.

He also called for regular monitoring to ensure that healthcare professionals maintain consistent attendance, ensuring timely medical attention for all patients.

Inspecting ongoing construction projects at the hospital, the minister expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of work and urged the administration to expedite efforts to improve the hospital’s infrastructure and service delivery.

Additionally, a landmark agreement was announced during the visit. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) is set to be signed between the minister, the vice chancellor of the medical college, and the medical superintendent of Holy Family Hospital, which will prioritize healthcare services for minority communities.
