CM Maryam Takes Notice of Molestation of Girl in Sargodha

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken serious notice of an alleged molestation incident involving a girl student in Sargodha.
The incident reportedly involved a sub-inspector and a private security guard.
Maryam Nawaz has sought an immediate report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, and stressed that the accused should be brought to justice swiftly.
Shopkeeper Shot Dead
A shopkeeper was shot dead in broad daylight by unidentified armed men on Millat Road, within Sargodha Road police jurisdiction, on Monday.
The victim, identified as Rameez, was sitting outside a pizza shop in Millat Chowk when three suspects on a motorcycle opened fire, killing him on the spot.
Police have transferred the body to the mortuary for an autopsy and collected forensic evidence from the scene.
A murder case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s father, and a special police team has been formed to apprehend the suspects.
Five Injured Road Accident
At least five people, including the driver, were injured when a motorcycle rickshaw overturned in a rural area of Chichawatni on Monday.
According to rescue sources, the accident occurred due to speeding on the Iqbalnagar link road. The injured have been shifted to the Tehsil Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
