Pakistani Rupee Depreciates Against US Dollar

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee experienced a slight depreciation of 3 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs 277.86 compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs 277.83.
In the open market, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reported that the buying and selling rates for the dollar stood at Rs 279 and Rs 280.7, respectively.
The Euro also saw a decline, dropping by 1.79 paisa to close at Rs 308.40, down from Rs 310.19 the previous day, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Meanwhile, the Japanese yen remained unchanged at Rs 1.93, while the British Pound fell by Rs 1.29, trading at Rs 368.52, down from Rs 369.81.
Additionally, the Emirates Dirham gained 1 paisa, closing at Rs 75.65, while the Saudi Riyal remained stable at Rs 74.04.
