Ingredients:

For Fried Bread:

  • Bread slices: 7-8
  • Oil (for frying): As needed
  • For Custard:
  • Milk: 1 liter
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Custard slurry: (40 g custard powder mixed with 1/4 cup water)

For Assembling:

  • Fried bread
  • Prepared custard
  • Chopped almonds: As needed

Instructions:

Remove the edges of the bread slices and cut them into squares.

Fry the bread squares until they turn golden brown and crispy. Set them aside.

In a saucepan, heat the milk and add sugar. Stir and cook until the sugar dissolves.

Gradually add the custard slurry, stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture thickens, then remove from heat.

In a serving dish, layer the fried bread with the custard. Garnish with chopped almonds.
