ANF Launches Crackdown on Drug Trafficking in Schools

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has initiated a nationwide operation aimed at eradicating drug trafficking within educational institutions, according to an ANF Headquarters spokesperson on Tuesday.
Acting on the special directives of the Director General (DG) of ANF, the operation targets drug dealers supplying substances to schools and colleges.
In the past 24 hours, two suspects were apprehended for drug distribution in educational institutions in Jhelum and Rawalpindi.
In Rawalpindi, over 2438 grams of drugs were seized, while in Dina, Jhelum, over 2400 grams of hashish was recovered from two other suspects. These individuals admitted to supplying drugs to a major private educational institution in Islamabad.
The ANF spokesperson emphasized that those involved in drug distribution to students will not receive leniency.
The ongoing operation is part of ANF’s commitment to safeguarding educational institutions from drug-related threats.
Additionally, 60 intoxicated tablets were found in a parcel at a courier office in Rawalpindi, leading to the arrest of a suspect. In another operation, 5 kg of heroin, valued at Rs 9 million, was seized from an individual on Jamrud Road in Peshawar.
The ANF prioritizes the arrest of those undermining the future of the youth through drug distribution. Cases have been filed against the arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are underway.
