Cyclonic Storm ‘ASNA’ Drifts Westward Off Sindh Coast: PMD

Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday reported that Cyclonic Storm “ASNA” over the northeast Arabian Sea off the Sindh coast has moved further westward over the past nine hours. 

The storm is now located at latitude 23.6°N and longitude 65.7°E, approximately 200 km southwest of Karachi.

The system is expected to continue tracking west-south-westwards. 

Under its influence, rain-thundershowers with heavy downpours and squally winds are predicted in most parts of Sindh, including Karachi, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Jamshoro, and Dadu.
