Man ‘Kills’ Wife, Three Held for for Harassing Woman

Islamabad: A man allegedly killed his wife under mysterious circumstances and another three men were arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a woman in separate incidents during the last 24 hours.
In the first incident, a man injured his wife critically over domestic issues in the Jauharabad area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, police sources said on Thursday.
According to details, the suspect, identified as Fiaz, allegedly killed his wife, Zakia, under unexplained circumstances in the jurisdiction of Nowshera police station.
The family shifted the victim to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The police have registered a case against the suspect and further investigation was underway till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, the Kahuta police on Thursday arrested three suspects involved in sexually harassing and blackmailing a woman.
According to a police spokesman, Kahuta police registered a case on the complaint of the victim and managed to net the suspects, identified as Saqib, Rizwan and Tauseef and another.
The spokesman said that the suspects involved in the crime would be brought to justice and they would be given strict punishment according to law.
Superintendent Police (Saddar) Mohammad Nabeel Khokhar said all legal requirements would be fulfilled to punish the accused.
Violence, harassment or rape against women would not be tolerated and the accused could not escape from the grip of the law, said Nabeel Khokhar.
