Two Children Killed, Five Injured in School Van Attack

Attock: At least two children have been killed and five others injured after gunmen opened fire on a school van in Dheri Kot, Attock, according to rescue officials speaking to Geo News on Thursday.
The injured children, aged between five and 12, have been shifted to the THQ hospital.
The victims included a nine-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl who were killed. The five injured children were aged four, seven, eight, eight, and 12.
In response to the attack, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has requested a report from Rawalpindi Commissioner Abdul Amir Khattak.
She has also expressed deep sorrow over the children’s deaths and instructed authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured.
President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the “cruel” attack, calling it a shameful act targeting innocent children. He has directed authorities to take stringent action against those responsible.
