KP Advisor Alleges Punjab CM Uses Police to Target Opposition

News Desk

Islamabad: Information Advisor for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, has criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, alleging that she refers to District Police Officers (DPOs) as “Jati Amra” and makes their appointment decisions based on this characterization.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Barrister Saif claimed that these officers are subsequently used against opposition parties.

He asserted that the appointments within the Punjab Police are driven solely by the intent to suppress Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, noting that officers who are more brutal towards PTI workers are promoted.

Barrister Saif vowed that those responsible for what he described as electoral fraud will face retribution for their actions.
