PKR Gains 10 Paisa Against USD; Euro & Pound Show Strength

Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 10 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Tuesday, closing at Rs 278.34 compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs 278.44.

In the open market, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar stood at Rs 279.70 and Rs 280.40, respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).

Meanwhile, the exchange rate of the Euro increased by 89 paisa, closing at Rs 308.38 compared to Rs 307.49 the previous day, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese yen saw a slight decrease of 1 paisa, closing at Rs 1.89. The British Pound appreciated by 74 paisa, trading at Rs 361.83 against the last closing of Rs 361.09.

Additionally, the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal decreased by 02 paisa and 01 paisa, closing at Rs 75.78 and Rs 74.18, respectively.
