PSX Drops 102.87 Points Amid Bearish Trend

Islamabad: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-Index saw a bearish trend on Tuesday, falling by 102.87 points, a negative change of 0.13 per cent. The index closed at 77,877.42 points, down from 77,890.29 points on the previous trading day.

During the session, a total of 604,144,238 shares were traded, compared to 415,170,050 shares on the last trading day. The value of shares traded amounted to Rs 19.981 billion, down from Rs 22.242 billion on the previous day.

Out of 443 companies that traded shares in the market, 183 recorded gains, 211 experienced losses, and 49 companies’ share prices remained unchanged.

The top three trading companies were:
Kohinoor Spinning: 131,917,010 shares traded at Rs 8.32 per share.
Yousuf Weaving: 89,200,219 shares traded at Rs 5.63 per share.
Hascol Petrol: 47,802,550 shares traded at Rs 6.79 per share.

Mari Petroleum Company Limited saw the highest increase, with its share price rising by Rs 129.00 to close at Rs 3,395.80. Hoechst Pakistan Limited followed with a Rs 91.27 increase, closing at Rs 1,599.99.

Unilever Pakistan Limited experienced the most significant decline, with its share price dropping by Rs 322.99 to close at Rs 17,620.00. Khyber Textile Mills Limited also saw a decrease of Rs 54.45, closing at Rs 569.19.
