Man kills cousin, steals 8.1 million in Sialkot

Islamabad: A man allegedly killed his cousin and stole 8.1 million rupees in Sialkot, according to local police.
The incident involved Artza, a bank manager, who had recently withdrawn 8.1 million rupees from the Benazir Income Support Programme.
His cousin, Shah, was riding with him on a motorcycle when he allegedly seized the money. When Haider resisted, Shah reportedly opened fire, killing him on the spot. Police apprehended Shah within five hours of the incident.
Man Held for Attempting to Rape Woman
Sargodha Police claimed to have arrested a man following his failed attempt to rape a woman.
According to the police, Rehan allegedly tried to rape the woman, and when she resisted, he injured her with a knife and fled the scene.
Acting on information, the police conducted a raid and apprehended the suspect. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.
Three Held for Illegal Currency Exchange
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested three individuals involved in ‘Hawala’ and illegal currency exchange activities in the provincial capital, recovering millions of rupees.
Acting on a tip-off, an FIA team raided various areas and apprehended Haris Mahmood, Muhammad Asghar, and Fazal Wahid from Hall Road and Nolakha Bazaar.
The suspects were involved in an illicit hawala network, and over Rs 11.9 million was recovered from them.
Authorities also seized documents related to hawala operations, including records, registers, receipts, and mobile phones.
Further investigation is underway.
