Five Killed in Daska Road Accident

Lahore: Early Thursday morning, a tragic road accident in Daska Tehsil, Sialkot District, Punjab, resulted in the deaths of five persons, including women, and left two others critically injured. The incident occurred when a speeding car collided with a motorcycle.

Rescue sources reported that the victims were a family of five traveling on the motorcycle.

The collision with the speeding car, which was coming from the opposite direction, led to their immediate deaths. The injured occupants of the car were transported to the hospital.

The bodies of the deceased and the injured were taken to the hospital, and the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident.

Robber Killed, Accomplice Arrested in Faisalabad 

A robber was killed and another arrested in a shootout near the Dijkot police station late Wednesday night.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Farhan of Chak Jhumra police was returning home after his shift when he was intercepted by two armed robbers near Dijkot.

The robbers attempted to steal currency and other valuables, but ASI Farhan resisted and called for backup.

Upon receiving the distress call, a team from Dijkot police rushed to the scene and instructed the robbers to surrender. Instead, the robbers opened fire on the police.

In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, one robber sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot, while his accomplice was injured and apprehended by the police.

The deceased robber, identified as Rizwan from Chak No. 260-RB, was wanted in 28 different cases.

The injured accomplice, Abrar, was transported to a hospital for treatment. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
