Poll Shows Harris Ahead of Trump

Islamabad: US Vice President Kamala Harris has gained momentum among Democrats and now leads Republican nominee Donald Trump by 44 percent to 42 percent in a new Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted between July 22 and 23.

This poll shows Harris making steady progress since President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race. Harris’s favorability rating has increased to 44 percent, while Trump’s remains at 41 percent.

The poll also indicates that 83 percent of voters support Biden’s decision to leave the race. In a three-way race including independent candidate Robert F Kennedy, Harris leads by 4 points. Harris’s campaign is focusing on issues like abortion, contrasting her policies with Trump’s positions.
