Experts Share Precautions To Combat Monsoon Diseases

Islamabad: Health Expert Dr Waqar Naeem has requested that citizens take proactive measures to prevent waterborne diseases as the monsoon season intensifies.

Highlighting the risks of cholera, typhoid and dengue, Dr Naeem underscored the significance of awareness and early medical intervention.

Health Expert advised consuming freshly prepared food, avoiding roadside vendors, and ensuring proper water hygiene to prevent illness.

Hospitals are seeing a rise in gastrointestinal issues linked to the monsoon in Karachi. Children are advised against swimming in stagnant water to prevent further health risks.

Dr Naeem also recommended vaccines for hepatitis A, typhoid, and flu and urged regular cleaning of water containers and the elimination of stagnant water to combat vector-borne diseases.
