Microsoft Takes Mitigation Actions Amid Service Disruptions

Washington: Microsoft has announced it is taking “mitigation actions” following significant service disruptions affecting its platforms.
The company reported that users may experience limited access to various Microsoft 365 apps and services, with some only able to view documents in read-only mode.
The issues come amid a large-scale IT outage in Australia, impacting the country’s national broadcaster, its largest international airport, and a major telecommunications company.
Australia’s National Cyber Security Coordinator attributed the outage to a problem with a “third-party software platform.”
Microsoft has emphasized that resolving the situation remains a top priority and is committed to addressing the disruptions swiftly. The company continues to work on restoring full functionality to affected services.
