Trump’s Wealth Jumps to $6.5 Billion Amidst Assassination Attempt

Islamabad: Former US President Donald Trump’s net worth surged by $1.1 billion following an assassination attempt.
His net worth rose by 20.5 percent to $6.5 billion on Tuesday, as reported by Forbes.
Trump Media & Technology Group Corp, of which Trump owns a 65 percent stake, saw its shares climb 31 percent to $40.6.
Trump, ranked among the world’s 500 wealthiest individuals, made his first public appearance on Tuesday since surviving the shooting incident at a rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday.
The attack resulted in one fatality and injuries to two others, with Trump sustaining an injury to his right ear but being quickly discharged from the hospital.
The incident highlighted the nation’s deeply divided political climate ahead of the upcoming November 5 election between Trump and Democratic President Joe Biden, according to Reuters.
Biden, who has portrayed Trump as a threat to US democracy, condemned the shooting and called on Americans to use the ballot box, not violence, to settle differences.
Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, as the gunman was killed by the US Secret Service.
