AIOU Announces Global Admissions, Enhances Accessibility

Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially announced admissions for the first phase of the Autumn 2024 semester.

According to a press release issued on Monday, the last date to apply for Matric, FA, and I.Com programs is 5th September, while for MBA, BS, MS, MPhil, and PhD programs, the deadline is 20th August.

Prospective students can obtain application forms for Matric, FA, and I.Com programs from the University’s main campus, regional offices, liaison offices, and designated prospect selling points. For MBA, BS, MS, MPhil, and PhD programs, admissions are exclusively online, with application forms and prospectuses available on the University’s official website.

International students residing globally are eligible to apply for Matric, FA, and I.Com programs, with admissions for other programs opening in the second phase starting from 1st September. The University has implemented an online management system to facilitate international students, enabling them to submit assignments and take exams remotely.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Nasir Mahmood stated that in previous semesters, the University enrolled 1200 international students from 37 countries. The institution aims to increase this number significantly, targeting 50,000 international enrollments.
