Pak Army to Continue Its Role for Peace During Muharram

DI Khan: Station Commander Dera, Brigadier Amir Hayat Station on Wednesday said the Pakistan Army would continue to play its role in maintaining peace and order during the holy month of Muharram.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of scholars here at Fort Iqbal Garh. The station commander said that Islam ordained peace and love, adding, the religious scholars had a key role in establishing peace

He said the anti-state elements wanted to sabotage the atmosphere of peace, but the security agencies along with the religious scholars and people of the country were united to thwart the nefarious plans of those elements.

The meeting was attended by member Peace Committee Qari Umair Farooqi, President of Ahl-e-Sunnat Maulana Azizur Rahman Qureshi, General Secretary of Ahl-e-Sunnat Hafiz Abdul Basit Goga Khel, Nazim-e-Ala Jamaat-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Dera Pir Faizul Hasan Kamboh and President of Ahl-e-Sunnat Jamaat Mufti Qismat Ullah.
