Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) operations, Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza on Wednesday directed the station house officers  (SHOs) to ensure their presence at police stations to address citizens’ grievances effectively.

The DIG chaired a meeting to review crime situation in the federal capital. SSP Investigation, Zonal SPs, SP Investigation, SDPOs, SHOs, and in-charge Car Cell attended the meeting.

DIG Raza directed to intensify efforts to arrest individuals involved in serious crimes, including murder, robbery, and vehicle theft.

To combat the narcotics, He ordered a stringent crackdown on drug dealers, stressing the need for expedited actions against organized and active gangs.

Additionally, he called for the arrest of habitual criminals and those involved in kite-selling and kite-flying, which pose significant risks to human lives.

In an effort to curb corruption, the DIG mandated that all cases be investigated with merit and transparency.

He underscored the importance of timely FIR registrations and ensuring that investigations are conducted fairly.

The DIG reiterated the commitment to maintaining peace and security during Muharram, ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property by utilizing all available resources.
